You Complete Me!

Aw, What an awesome title.
So as I was thinking about how I was going to post about our 5 year anniversary I came up with a few ideas. First was to be all cute and tell you all how much I love him and why... OR to be funny and make fun of him and everything I have to put up with and the funny things we do. Then I thought, NEITHER and to just put up a bunch of pictures of us from way back in the day. I had such a great time going through all our old school pictures. I had to dicipline myself to a few because I could of posted a ton! I also am going to make a bunch of facebook albums with pictures growing up and yes most of you are in them!! You are all going to hate me! Good times. Anyways back to the most important thing...Me, I mean US.
We had so much fun back then and we still have so much fun now. I do love him and that includes everything he makes me put up with! We have a great time together and laugh ALL the time! He is truly amazing, I am one lucky girl!
ps: I also decided I NEED a scanner. These are pictures of the pictures so really bad quality, and as I said before im way cuter than it makes me look! Oh I guess Dustin is too...

This was day 2 of grad, yep he was my date. How cute.
My Grad, look how little we were!
A really bad (blurry) picture of the best day of Dustins life!

I don't know

I was doing so good last week with my blogging, but this week...nothing. I don't really have anything to write, but I feel I need too. I also have a feeling this will be a "let it all out post". I know there are people out there that hate the blogging world for how personal it can get. I do have an amazing life and I never really have anything negative to write about. I like to try and look at the positive in everything, but trust me I do have my days. I'm not perfect. But to me this is my journal and I get a lot of comfort in writing. So too bad, this is me and my life and all the frustrations that come with it. (Today anyways) I am on the verge of tears with frustration, so I think writing about it will help. First of all I am a little annoyed with some glitches in my business that happened but hopefully i'm fixing it and things are smoothing out. I guess thats bound to happen when starting a new business. Second, well maybe second, third, fourth, and fifth, maybe even sixth! We just have had one thing after another going wrong, and all in one day! I try so hard to stay positive through tough situations but honestly i'm wearing out from being so strong all the time. Things are great with Dustin and I and we have gotten through some hard times before and I know we'll get through it this time. I think we are going to make some changes in our life, not drastic but it's definately time for a change. I honestly don't know what else to write. I'm blank and that's normally not me. I am going to hate myself for posting this because I hate being upset, especially sharing when I am with other people. I do love Dustin and my girls and they make my days insanely happy. I honeslty think everyone should be blessed with twins because it's amazing. And so many people say how having a toddler at the same time would be a handful, but I wouldn't of had it any other way! She is such a big helper and keeps these babies entertained when i'm tied up on the phone or cooking dinner. They are already so close.
Well I guess i'm done. I have no news, no pictures and i'm having a hard day. So i'll stop while i'm ahead. I love all of you who comment on my life, it's great to hear what you have to say about my crazyness. I do love my life SO much, I never thought it was possible to be this happy, to be this blessed with what I have.
I know this post makes no sense, but it makes sense to me and just to know someone is reading it makes me feel like i'm talking to others about my frustrations. It's kind of like therapy I guess!
aaaand, it could always be worse!

I'm on a roll!!

K, I was going to post this with the post this morning or wait until I do more but i'm excited to show you and it wasn't quite finished yet when I wrote the other post! So now you get two posts in one day (don't forget to read the other one!). Here is my new Home Decor letters I am making for my business. I made this one for my sister to go in their new livingroom. They are 22" big and they can come in any color scheme you want. Check out the website for more details and pricing. Go to The Burnt Daisy! I'll be adding more within the next week for you to see!

My Project and A Close Call

For a long time I have wanted to get a chalkboard for my kitchen. I am ALWAYS writing things down because I have the WORST memory! For real! Is there something you can eat to help with that? Seriously i'm really bad, so if you ever notice I forgot about you for something, don't take it personal. So I wanted something different and more fun/modern. so I have been looking online at some and I didn't want to spend $50 plus shipping and exchange which is all ridiculous. So I was in Staples here and I found a simple plain chalkboard for $19.95! So I decided to spruce it up in my own way.
BeforeAfter! (click on it to see it better) Kyla drew a picture on the bottom if you can't tell. I know i'm an awesome artist but this time i'll give Kyla the credit...
So now for the close call. Dustin and I were getting the babies dressed for bed in the livingroom on the mainfloor last night and we sent Kyla upstairs to get some pj's for bed. She was upstairs and we heard the loudest bang and then Kyla freaking out. I said "Run Dustin!" (I was nursing Jayci) I set her down and went up and her dresser was tipped over and she was on the floor beside it. (Luckily!) She got out of the way just in time. But it scraped up her back before she got away. I took a picture but it doesn't show very good. She is so lucky. Her dresser is heavy and full of clothes! She was opening the bottom drawer, I knew that because of what shirt she had on the floor beside her and plus she showed us what she did. But we tried to pull a drawer open and rocked the dresser to see how sturdy it was and it didn't seem that easy to tip over. So we think it was too far away from the wall. Anyways we are so lucky she didn't get crushed! She is a scrony little skeleton so she would of had no chance. She was smart to move out of the way and one lucky little girl! It definately freaked me out too!

I also want to update on a few things too, more for me (to remember) lol. Both the babies are pulling themself to standing and even starting to "cruise." Jayci is now saying "dadda and mamma", and knowing what they mean. She even said "hi dad!" on Sunday morning! Seriously, I thought it was fluke but she kept copying me, like 10 times! Then she said it again to my sister later that day, so who knows! I think Presley is getting it too. They can both wave hi, which I love! I love the stage where they start to mimic you, Kyla was so good at that and I think that's why she learned how to talk well so early. Anyways those are the main things I wanted to update on. Also I am getting a lot of blogging in lately, I guess my life hasn't been as boring!

Adventures in the Venture! Right Arm!

Well my sister Brittany and her husband Jeff came this weekend to visit us and we had so much fun! They were married in December and are so cute, they are just so in love....newlyweds eh. ;) They came on Thursday and on Friday and Saturday the guys went hunting. Hunting season opened on Friday up here so they were pretty excited to get a bear and a wolf. Well they didn't have much luck. Poor guys, spent two full days trying to catch something and they were so determined. They saw some pretty huge tracks though, and a Linx, a deer, a bird, gophers, an old cooler. They did shoot the cooler though, they really wanted to shoot something so they pick that I guess! They think it may have been a little too early to go, but Dustin is sure anxious to get that bear. I'm sure he'll be going again. While the "manly" men were out doing their thing, Britt and I did what women do best and went shopping. I honestly didn't buy anything but it was so fun just to go to stores and walk around and see what I plan on buying one day. There isn't much shopping up here but just even walking around Superstore was fun. I also wanted to get Kyla's ears pierced as you all know but Claires couldn't do it because something was broken for about aweek or so, and nowhere else in the city will do it! We don't have a Merle Norman up here either, which would of been my first choice. So she was either too young or they didn't have anyone trained at the moment. GAY. I was dissapointed because Britt was so excited to come with me to do them. So I guess i'll try and get her in within the next couple weeks. So we had some fun sister time and some good Reba watching, she brought the last two seasons with her. I love that show. A lot of people told me that Dustin and I remind them of Van and Cheyenne from the show so my friend Shannon lent me the first two seasons so I could see why people say that and I was addicted. I'm so much smarter than her though! So anyways, Saturday night we had a date night and I can't remember a time when I laughed so much! We went out for dinner and then honestly drove around for like an hour and a half! We didn't want to go to a movie because we had been staying up until like 2am every night just talking and laughing and I wanted to enjoy as much time with them as we could so sleep was not our priority. Anyways so we were already on lack of sleep so sitting in a dark movie theater would just knock us all out plus we wanted to visit. The only other thing was bowling and we didn't really feel like bowling. There was no way I was coming home at 8pm when we had a sitter, so we just drove around! Who knew it could be so fun, we just laughed and laughed. (Britt said it was like high school when you'd drive around for hours just trying to decide what to do and then realize it was curfew and go home!) Dustin would cruise the "dowtown strip" as we called it and it was awesome! Dustin decided to pull into the car dealership to see the vehicles, and the dealership is like two blocks long and all along the main road the cars are parked in the parking lot. We really want to get a new vehicle but we have been so diciplined and putting our priorities straight (only responsible people do that) and have made this van last, and we hate it. One thing after another keeps breaking on it, it's awesome. Both front windows won't roll up if you roll them down (which was perfect in the -25C weather while driving across the city) Dustin keeps hoping that one of these horrible Fort Mac drivers will hit him one day while driving it (without the kids in it of course) Anyways we have been having lots of problems with it. So does anyone want to buy a van? lol Well back to our adventurous night. Dustin noticed a spot where a car was gone so he took advataged to try and sell our van, so he pulled in. It was hilarious, he also pulled out further than the other cars so ours would be noticed better. We are honestly laughing to the point of crying because Dustin would just do these random things while we drove around. So here we are in our 2003 Chevy Venture in a row of brand new cars, let me give you a visual... oh and click on the pictures to see how awesome we make the van look, it was all part of the sale. (Blonde not included...but take the tall one if you want)
So after our crazy "adventures in the Venture" as we called it, we finally decided to give in and come home and hang out and also had a blast playing games and having so much fun. Sunday we went to church and I got to show them why we love it here. They couldn't believe how nice everyone was and how many fun young families are in our ward. We honestly have no old people! It's crazy. But so many fun young couples and we have made some great friends here. We also took them out to Syncrude (one of the big plants up here) to see the big machinery out there. They thought that was pretty cool. On the way back Britt and I sat in the very back, because there isn't much room with all the carseats so I let Jeff sit upfront. So we had a photo shoot with her camera, which was another laugh fest for us. She'll have to post the pictures on her blog because I don't have them, but we got some gooders. Other than that we just had so much fun and made a crap load of memories. Oh and about the title, Dustin works with some awesome guys like himself and they say "Right arm!" instead of "right on!" aren't they so cool! These smart husbands that go to work everyday and work so hard to come up with such brilliant slogans for us to use in our daily dialogue. So it became one of our regular sayings for the weekend, got some good laughs out of that too. So We made the best of every minute and it was great how much closer we got to be as sisters. We also realized how much we are alike! So much more than we ever thought! She was a great help with the kids and they loved Uncle Jeff. We had late nights and early mornings (thanks to the kids) and I can't wait until they come up again!

The guys before hunting, Dustin didn't want to grab his hunting coat but wanted to show all his camo, so he lifted up his shirt instead. They are so cool.
out at dinner, the lighting is so gross in the restaraunt and not the best angle of me. We are cuter than in makes us look, but you all know that ;)

Easter and more!

This Easter weekend was a lot more eventful than planned. We were going to just have a simple Easter at our house and then have a dinner at Jill's house on Sunday. Well last Tuesday Dustin's Grandpa Francis past away so we made the trip down to Taber on Thursday for the funeral on Saturday. He was such a happy person and i'm sad I didn't get to know him better but he was getting old and having heart problems and he went peacefully. The funeral was so nice and I think he would of loved it. Kind of a bitter sweet reunion with a ton of family on Dustin's side. I am kind of retarded and of course didn't take any pictures. But it was great to see everyone.

So our family has had the stupid cold going around for the past 2 weeks back and forth and the twins just wouldn't get over it, so on Friday Jayci woke up with a fever and just seemed really sick. I decided to take her to the hospital in the afternoon because she was really lethargic laying on me and so sick. Well she had a really high fever and so the first thing the Doctor did was had us get her fever down and then he checked her out and she had two ear infections. Poor thing. That whole day we had a hard time keeping her fever down and that night she had a fever of 39.7C or 103.6F (for you amercians.) Anyways she was so sick so we put her in the tub to get it down and she slept in bed with us that night because I was worried about her fever. The doctor said anything from 39.5 and 40C can cause febrile seizures, so of course I was really worried. But luckily she got better and has been on antibiotics since Friday. Now we are all pretty much back to normal. Thank goodness.
So anyways Saturday was the funeral and Sunday we had Easter at Dustin's parents. This weekend Kristy and Brandon also came up to Canada to my parents and we weren't planning on going there with all Dustin's family being up and we wanted to keep it more af a family weekend for him. But we decided to head over there on Sunday afternoon for the night and then head home Monday morning. I didn't want to lose the chance to see Kristy while I could. We saw eachother at Britt's wedding in December and then we won't see eachother until Summer, so I couldn't not go. So we went and stayed the night at mom and dad's. They left late Sunday night and drove through the night to go home. All the family was there though celebrating Lindsay and Brandon's birthdays and Easter all in one. I was glad we got to go, we had a lot of fun and I finally got to go see Jeff and Britt's house and the lot they are building their new house on. Kyla also got to roll easter eggs down the hill and she loved it. The babies hated it with being so windy and both of them being sick so that didn't last too long. Well that was pretty much our weekend, lots going on that forsure! But it was lots of fun and kind of nice being able to see everyone when we weren't expecting to see anyone until summer. Oh and Presley finally cut her first tooth in too!! Halleluah! Kyla was 10 months old when she got her first tooth so i'm really not surprised, so that could also add to the sick factor. Jayci usually does everything first but Presley beat her too it this time. They are also starting to grow hair!!! This is HUGE!! Dustin loves them bald, aha I do to of course but I can't wait to do their hair! Thank goodness for cute headbands, I love them.

Kristy and I and our babies Gavin, Jayci and Presley. Gavin is 2 months younger than the girls and look how big he is compared to them. Of course I had 7 week preemature twins. By the way they are 18lbs, Jayci got weighed at the hospital and they have been about the same for a while now so i'm assuming Presley is the same if not a little lighter, that's the 17th percentile so they are doing great! They are about the same in developement as Gavin though, so it's fun. Oh and I think I am hating my bangs, time for a change....again.
Presley and Jayci on Easter Sunday! Presley in red, Jayci in blue. My mom picked out their dresses. Love them!
My big girl Kyla, this picture makes her look so grown up! Scary
The 3 best things in my life! (Dustin too of course)

So now we are just getting ready for Brittany and Jeff to come on Thursday, i'm so excited! I only had Kristy and Brandon stay at our house once for 2 days a long time ago. So i'm really excited to have a sister come and visit! They are staying until Tuesday too! The boys are going hunting Friday and Saturday, yay (can you tell my enthusiasm) they each want a bear and a wolf.....umm ya. I'm excited to have some good sister time though! We are going to get Kyla's ears pierced! shh don't tell Dustin! ahaha No I have been wanting to get them done for the past year but we just haven't and everytime I get the chance Dustin says, we'll do it next time. He says she is cute without it and doesn't need it. ha too bad! I also said I won't pierce their ears until they ask, well she saw my earrings and wanted some too....doesn't that count?? I think so! Well I should stop writing because some days I feel like I could go on forever....but I won't (maybe next time)

Kyla

I officially have a 3 year old! How crazy is that. Her birthday was on Saturday and I know i'm a little late posting this but things have been crazy around here. I had my parents and sister Stephanie here for it. She wanted a pink princess birthday so she got one! She loved every minute of it. We had pink koolaid, pink decorations, pink cake and everyone had to wear pink. She actually wore a white dress I bought her a while ago and shopping is very minimal up here so she wore that and looked pretty dang cute in it I must say! We had tons of fun! Here are some things on why we love Kyla.
She is such a smart little girl and remembers everything, I mean EVERYTHING. She can sing the alphabet, spell her name, draw really good pictures of people (especially our family) spiders, suns, cars, bugs, and more. I asked her to draw our family and this is what she did, you have to click on it to read who they are. These are all in her words. She knows all her colors, shapes and opposites (She's known most of these things for the past 6 months or more) She is a true girl, loves to wear dresses, get her hair done, paint her nails, princess everything and of course pink everything. Majority of her shirts are pink I noticed the other day, oh well i'm not complaining I love pink too! She loves nursery and knows who Joseph Smith was (the first prophet) and he got baptized and built a temple. She "needs" everything. She says, "Mom I NEED that, I need it!" I wish I could remember all the funny things she says because she is hilarious and definately keeps me on my toes! She recently, I mean just the past couple days, started asking me in depth questions about things and WHY. Everything is "Why?" and then i'll answer simply and she asks "but why?" so until I give her a fully explain in detail answer she keeps asking. I'm like what the?? where did this come from? Oh funny story. The other day we were eating dinner at the table with my parents here and I asked her to do something I can't remember exactly but she yelled at me, so I said "Kyla don't yell at mommy, it's not nice." So she yelled it again and I said "that makes mommy sad, do you like making me sad?" She says, "no" So I told her "you need to say sorry to me for yelling" she says "No mom you say sorry to me!" umm, excuse me! So as I try not to laugh I said "no Kyla you yelled at mommy and you need to say sorry." (so while this is going on she is staring right at me quite intensly I must say! and not looking away, so i'm trying not to laugh) meanwhile my family is at the table covering and hiding their faces because they are laughing so hard. Anyways I said, " I didn't yell at you, you yelled at me so you say sorry." Once again she said "NO You say sorry to me!" This kid was NOT giving in! This went on back and forth for a couple minutes. I was not going to give in either! So my mom whispers to me, "just say sorry to her and see what she does." So I did, I said, "sorry Kyla" and she goes "sorry mom" (quietly) What a BUTT! Seriously! It was quite entertaining for my family. I lately have been sticking to things and my decisions so she knows what she can't get away with but man this was SO out of nowhere and I didn't know what to do, she caught me off gaurd! Anyways, she also hates it when I get upset, she says, "Mommy don't be mad!" and of course this is when i'm about to explode and so frustrated, she says this over and over until I smile and tell her that i'm not mad. This girl is full of personality and such a sweetheart. She is also definately a leader. She loves to boss her little sisters around but mostly just loves to just play with them. She spilled something on the carpet the other day when I told her not to come into the livingroom with it and she did of course, so I didn't get mad but I said "Kyla mommy said not to come in here and now I have to clean it up" she goes, "it's ok, it's ok mom, i'm still your best friend." So cute. She always tells me i'm her best friend and I LOVE that. Well here are some pictures of her birthday! We got her a leapfrog "my first computer" It's awesome. I recommend it!
