4 going on 14

I know i've blogged a lot about Kyla lately. But tonight we went out to try and get ONE decent family picture before I get too fat, and Kyla was the only cooperative one after to let me take pictures of just her. I was planning on taking the girls out on a separate day anyways, but she looked dang cute as always and I couldn't resist. This girl is a natural I tell ya.

I absolutely LOVE this first one of her.

I love this girl. Family ones and the other adorable girls of mine to come.

What do you do on Sunday nights?

Kyla draws pictures of teddy bears
And sticks them on her Elmo chair
And then shoots at it with her dad, thinking it's hilarious and awesome.

She's so proud

She did pretty good though eh? For a 4 year old.

Oh and if you can't tell by the bright orange tip it's not a real gun, it's an air soft gun. She was so excited to shoot daddy's gun, even more than going to the park! Crazy girl. Dustin even asked what she would think if he ran over the easter bunny, she laughed, quite hard actually. I thought he was going to traumatize her by saying that but I guess not.

Yesterday I was sick and passed out on the couch with Jayci and Presley, and Dustin was cleaning, so he put on some sort of dog movie on tv for Kyla. I woke up to her in complete devastation and bawling, and Dustin holding her. I guess something happened at the end of the movie and we don't know what, Dustin didn't even remember what it was called, he just said it was a kids dog show or something. Kyla said it was sad and we got out of her that the dog was alone in the end. She was so sad! Like couldn't breathe devastation! I have no idea what movie it was. Poor girl. Sometimes they aren't as tough as we think.

Speaking of crazy, what kids do for entertainment sometimes I don't quite understand but they were happy.

She actually had the big stickers covering their eyes but I made her take them off. We are taking family pictures today and I do want my girls to have eyelashes.

Almost there and good news

This is more for me than anything.

It hasn't been long since I found out I was pregnant and I think it's finally settling in. I think. I'm only 9 weeks, ya, not very far but I can't believe it was 5 weeks ago I found out, and those weeks flew by. So lets hope it continues for the rest of the pregnancy.

I had a doctors appointment on Friday, to find out my latest blood work and we got some great news. My thyroid is back to normal! AND my iron is going up! It's the highest it's been in a LONG time. This made my day big time! It's crazy too because the last couple weeks I have felt my energy go up and I didn't feel like passing out all the time. I am glad I now know that all my side effects are from the pregnancy and not other health issues. So I am super happy about this news!!

So my sickness was starting to let up. I honestly haven't been too bad. My last two pregnancies were WAY worse. BUT I am super, SUPER sensitive to smells. Which I have never had before! Anything makes me nauseous and it's so annoying. Dustin sat down beside me on the couch and I said, "what do you smell like?" he's like "I don't know, nothing?" ha

I can't stand his deodorant, the toothpaste we use, my hairspray, wipes, etc etc. It's crazy. I'm hoping it'll pass but who knows.

So yesterday out of the blue was a BRUTAL day, I was SO sick. And today it continued. Not sure where it came from but I don't like it. I really hope this doesn't continue because I was feeling pretty lucky for a few weeks there. This weekend I was tired, I slept in and had a nap just after lunch and woke up still feeling sick. It's a different tired though, I don't feel out of breathe and weak like before but I just want to sleep lots. So i'm thinking that's just from being pregnant.

I think this time I am more aware of my body and what's going on, like when I lay on my back I can feel the uterus (which is kinda gross) but I never really did that last time. I am growing fast and Dustin thinks it's twins again because of how fast i'm growing, but I just think it's because it's my 3rd pregnancy and last time it's was twins so my body is maybe used to that, so it's preparing because that's what it's used too? Ha I have no idea, but i'm glad I announced early because it's a given i'm pregnant and i'm only 9 weeks! I think it's only one, even though i've had countless dreams about it being twins. I'd do it again and i'd be happy. I did it once, I can do it again. Don't expect any belly pics either, because it's not cute! Maybe in a month or so.

So we still don't know if we want to find out or not what we're having. I say no, Dustin kind of wants too. I love the surprise and Kyla was a surprise and we didn't have anything so this time it's like the same but we do have girl stuff and we can buy boy stuff here and there just incase. Besides it is NOT the same finding out in an ultrasound as finding out at delivery. Totally way better after going through labour and all the work of delivery and waiting 9 months, it's so awesome when the baby comes out and they say "IT'S A....!!" Ya definitely wasn't the same in the ultrasound with the twins. Dustin is pretty easy going so I think I can convince him ;)

Ok well i'm not feeling great, so i'm going to go nap while the girls are down and Kyla's at school. By the way she has school pictures today and she looked so cute! I love that they do school pictures! I'm so excited for them. We told her last night to smile like I was the picture taker just to be sure, and she does her signature pose, hand on hip, head tilt, big smile. Just refer to her back to school post to see what I mean. So we tried to show her to not do that and just smile keeping her head straight and she seriously couldn't do it! It was hilarious. She had to really focus on not doing it and her face looked all funny, we laughed pretty hard. I hope they let her do her head tilt because that is her and I love that.

Anyways, That's that!

I was right, again.

So life's kinda boring right now. Other than being pregnant, Dustin in school, Kyla in school, and celebrating babies, not much is happening. Oh by the way, Britt had her baby!! She is way cute!

Ok fine i'll show you.

Laynie Lynn Schaffer

7lbs 13oz, 20 in

born on Sept 10th at 10:47am.

Cute eh?

Totally opposite of my kids, dark hair (and lots of it!) dark skin and dark eyes. She is a clone of Britt when she was a baby. I can't wait to actually meet her, and until then I am grateful for Skype!

So you know those moments when you tell your husband something and he says, no it'll be fine and you let him do what he wants, which is the opposite of what you say, knowing the outcome? If that doesn't make sense then lets just say, the wife is right ALL THE TIME, and the husband is NOT.

Just a small example. Dustin bought some frozen pizzas, and one kind he got was the no name brand. I knew the no name ones were bad, but I didn't say anything. Tonight we decided to throw a pizza in the oven. He brought up the no name one and opened it and he says, "what's wrong with this pizza?" I said, "ya I know they are gross pizzas just throw it out and don't cook it" It looked like it had been melted and refrozen, so a big frozen mush mess. Gross.

So he says, it'll be fine. I say, no it won't, throw it out. He says fine i'll eat it. I say, ok then put a different kind in for the rest of us. Letting him do his thing.

He went to check on the pizza's a little later, and said "um hun look at the pizza!"

Yes dear, I knew.

As you can tell, the pizza on the right is the brand name one. Even though it's paper thin and big enough for one person only.

So we called and ordered pizza.

Well i'm off to eat some GOOD cheese pizza, I wonder if Dustin still wants his no name one?

Moral of the story. THE WIFE IS ALWAYS RIGHT.

And it's funny when the husbands don't get it.

Kyla goes to school

Well Kyla is officially in pre school!
Do I feel old? No, I just can't believe how fast time goes. I feel like I was just in pre school!

She was excited, but this morning I asked her if she was and she goes, "Ughhh Mom, yes I am excited." and another time I got "Mom, you already asked me that lots of times!" I guess I did ask her quite a few times. I just wanted to make sure...

So I was "that" mom today taking a million pictures, but it was worth it and I love every one of them. When we had orientation last week they had us fill out a volunteer form for what we'd like to volunteer for, and I think I checked every event there was. I remember my mom always being there for my school things and I loved it. So I want to do the same for her. Also this way I get to see how she is in school and get a ton of pictures of it!

Here she is on her first day in front of the school!

She looks way too old.

Had to get a shot of her with her biggest fans. Who also look like they are getting so big.

This was when Kyla and Emma saw each other, cutest thing ever! They truly love each other and it is so cute. I'm glad she has a best friend.

I LOVE LOVE this picture of them.
They are so dang cute and have the biggest backpacks!
I love them and i'm so glad they are in the same class to make memories together.

Her classroom. Don't you love her poses? I tell her to smile and I get this, I love it.

By her coat hook. They share with the morning class
By her cubby
Sittin with her class, she didn't even say bye to me. She was more than ready to be there.

K tell me that wasn't the cutest post ever. This is so exciting! I can't wait for Halloween dress up day, Christmas concerts, the crafts she'll bring home etc etc.... all of it!

I LOVE being a mom!!

Our week

Just a little quick random blog of our latest.

We got invited over to Jill's for a "Mexican Fiesta" on labour day since both our husbands were off and it was crappy out. So we had tacos/taco salad, and she bought the kids a pinata. They loved it.

So I now know FORSURE, that when we are eating dinner with the adults and the kids are insanely quiet upstairs, it's not because they are angels and love their parents that much.

Never.

Again.

So Pretty.
Good job on the makeup Kyla and Emma, you all looked beautiful. Jill's bathroom also looked awesome.

So the make up got put up, HIGH.
Thank goodness for baths.
She's still pretty cute though, for a clown.

And just some random pics from our house this last week.

I caught this yesterday. Too cute.

Had to get a shot of what a typical meal looks like, this is AFTER the kids ate. This is why I eat standing at the counter.

and Pregnancy somedays, sucks.
So all in all it's been a good week.
Oh right..... it's only Tuesday....
Kyla starts school tomorrow! I'll post plenty of pictures of that i'm sure.
Until next time.... :)
