A little frustrated

Ok here it goes. I've been thinking about this post a lot and how to go about it. I'm just going to write and whatever comes out comes out. So don't judge me...
Some of you know what this is about but i'm going to tell you the story.
We have this guy friend that we became close to and he got married. His wife wrote me on facebook a couple months ago asking some business help on how she should get started with her hair bow/baby accessory business. Of course I helped in any way I could. I told her about the blog site that I made and how it works, how people pay etc etc. Well after seeing my site she fell in love... too in love. The next message was her asking how I make them...but every detail. I have had people ask me this before and I respectfully say sorry but no. So I did and this is what I wrote,

"As much as I would love to help you out. I can't. My stuff is original and unique to me and my style and how I do it. I have been asked a lot from other people how to make it. I said the same thing to them so I hope you don't take it personal. I get business from all over and i'm still trying to get my stuff out there since I just started in March so I can't have someone else making the exact same things when it's my designs and business that I came up with from scratch. It's a little different than if it were baby things etc cuz a lot of people do them. But this is just me and i've never seen anything out there like this. That's why I did it, I wanted to be different than everyone else. Hope you can understand and good luck with your hair accessories, if you have anymore questions I would definately still help you out. Mindy"

Well to my surprise she actually just started her business....making children and home decor! I could copy my site and put it on hers and nothing would be different. I'm not even kidding. Now I want you to know this, I know for a fact i'm not the only one out there who does this, there is plenty of wood home decor/baby names etc. But I definately did not copy ANYONE. I took inspiration of styles and what I liked from other home decor but I never copied. I know since then there has been a lot of this coming out and I know they didn't copy me. lol I honestly didn't look around very much at other names etc, and there wasn't anything out there "quite" like mine and I have friends who can attest to that. I got the idea because I was trying to find names for the twins when they were born but I didn't love anything and nothing had my "style" so I decided I am going to make them and it went from there.

I don't want to over react, but if any of you know me, I hate people who copy and take credit for it. I just think it's rude. I always knew other people would try and imitate it but never a "friend" and especially do everything the exact same. The whole situation was just wrong. If I didn't know her and she had her own twist or style or whatever, then who cares. Nobody has the exact same, but even the little effect on the letters is what I do. I know for a fact that if I had a friend do a business I would never ever consider copying it. I would try my hardest to make it completely different and "my own". I did write her and she couldn't be bothered, she justified it as how many of these things are out there so she didn't copy. Right.

If you really want to see it, she's not hard to find, I actually want you to see so you understand my frustration. She deleted my blog but I never deleted her...but that's all i'll say. Honestly would you be upset? I just hate the fact there is nothing I can do about it. Oh well I guess i'll just have to work that much harder to make mine that much better.

Craft show and more...

What a weekend!
It was busy, crazy and most of all scary. My mom had surgery a few weeks ago, and on Friday she started having some abnormal complications and by that evening she was rushed to the hospital and had to have emergency surgery in the middle of the night. She went through absolute hell and it was really scary. We are sure lucky we got her in when we did. I am not one to worry until you have to, and I was worried. She is so strong for going through what she did and we are so grateful to the doctors and nurses who took care of her. She is still in the hospital doing ok. She can't eat or keep anything down and has had some more smaller complications since the surgery on Friday. We are hoping and praying that she can bounce back quickly from this and be the fun busy mom she is. Love you mom.

Now onto the other part of the weekend.
First of all a HUGE thanks to everyone who came out to support me! It was great to see everyone. Especially my family who helped me with everything. It was super fun and a great experience. Everything was great and I had a ton of positive feedback. I got offered to be in a ton more craft shows before Christmas and also people want me to have my stuff in their stores! I am not sure how to go about all of it, but man I never thought my business would be booming like this, this fast. I think i'm only going to take on what I can handle, after all my full-time job of being a mom is my priority. ;)

So as we were driving back into Cardston from visting mom at the hospital, after the craft show. Kyla saw the temple glowing and got super excited. So Britt drove up right infront and I wanted to get some pictures with her. She loved it and it was a very special moment with her.

I changed my mind!

I am SO for team JACOB!! After seeing the preview for the New Moon on the MTV movie awards I was like, "who the heck is Edward?"
The whole time reading the books I pictured Jacob as an annoying brother type to Bella, but after seeing him in person, maybe it's a good things she chose Edward so that I can have Jacob...
agree? You'd better!!

mmm, yes please.

Well this sucks

So another trip to the hospital for Mindy. This time it was stupid, useless and neccesary. This is the outcome of dealing with Kyla's 5am tantrum for waffles. I guess I lost the fight. I don't even know how it all happened I was half asleep and Dustin was gone to work and she would NOT stop and after 1/2 hour of it in my bed, I put her back in her room. There was a struggle... and then some pain....for me.
It's not broken but dang it hurts and I can't do anything. And it's on my RIGHT hand, perfect. Changing 2 poopy diapers was fun, or taking both babies out of their cribs, or feeding them. Good thing I was lazy last night while Dustin went to Scouts and DIDN'T do the dishes. Looks like it's Dustin's turn tonight.
Anyways who knew that sprained fingers could ruin your daily life! Well now I know. Wish me luck, I still have to get ready for this craft show I'm SO not ready for and making orders should be interesting. I still need to shower hence the hat. At least this time it was in the morning! Although the wait is a lot quicker in the middle of the night. I'll remember that for next time, cuz with me there will definately be a next time.
There are a ton of those pictures that are so funny of Kyla and I. Thanks Kyla for making everything that much better. ;) Love her.

Now can you tell?

So here they are at 15 months! Big eh? I think Jayci has bigger eyes than Presley, and a wider head/face. They have such different personalities too. Jayci runs around laughing literally ALL day, at nothing! Presley is more laid back and it's a little harder to get her to smile sometimes, she gives you this look that is so funny. I'm trying to get it on camera, but she like tilts her chin down and looks up at you with just her eyes, it's almost a glare. They have also learned how to scream. Not yell... but an ear piercing scream. They are getting so smart and I can see their little brains working when I talk to them. They also know what i'm saying which I love. They play with each other all day and if one wakes up before they other, they seem SO bored and lonely, it's so cute. Then when I go get the other one and they see each other they get the hugest smiles on their faces. Almost like their thinking "Oh there you are!" These girls entertain me all day, they are so funny. Kyla is now trying to be like them. I think we are going backwards with her somedays. She is my best little friend and great big sister/teacher for the girls. She definately has the boss/mom thing down.
Oh. my sweet girls. I want more. Crazy am I? well....later ;)

So that is just a few things I can think of between them that are different. I'm sure i'll think of more later.
How cute is that first picture, they sure love each other.

I definately can tell them apart now, can you?

Here, I finally caught the face Presley does, it's not quite there but she is hard to get pictures of! And of course Jayci and her "happy all the time" face!

Oh and I guess i'll tell you Jayci is on the right, Presley left.
