oh the sickness

Well this week to be honest has been pretty crappy. Tuesday morning Jayci woke up with a pretty high fever and I wasn't feeling the best. By noon Kyla had a fever and I felt awful and by late afternoon we were all super sick, except Presley. She was still happy as could be playing all by herself. I had Jayci and Kyla pretty much dead on the couch with me while Presley roamed free. So Dustin got home that night and stayed home from mutual to take care of his sick family and give poor neglected Presley some attention. That evening I was feeling terrible and couldn't move off the couch so Dustin had to call into work the next day to stay home and help me with the kids. The next day the girls were pretty sick and I wasn't too bad. That evening Presley started sounding like everyone else so I knew she was catching it. Well that night I was feeling ok so Dustin was going to go back to work the next day. Every time one of the kids woke up in the nights Dustin went and got them and took care of them and of course I couldn't sleep through it so I tried to help him, he pretty much brought them into bed with us for a few minutes gave them some more meds and put them back to bed. If one baby woke up, the other one would wake up so he would bring them both into the bed and they both just want to be held, so I would have both of them laying literally on top of me while in the meantime Dustin would get new milk in their sippy cups and the medication for them. He'd come in and all 3 of us in the bed were passed out, I wish I got a picture of it. Quite the site having two little babies sprawled on you passed out. Well that night Kyla woke up and he asked if I could go this time so I said yes, since he went about a hundred times in the last few nights and I was feeling ok. Well in the middle of tucking her back in I got super sick and ran to the bathroom. Dustin came in to help me, of course I had nothing on my stomach which hurts even more than if you do. So I stood up after and I was ghost white, like I looked like I was dead. I saw myself in the mirror and it was weird to see myself that pale. Anyways so I went back to bed and Dustin knew he was going to have to stay home again because I was so sick. That morning I heard them all up downstairs and the girls were all crying so it was hard to sleep through and I felt miserable so I once again ran to the bathroom and did my thing and Dustin came upstairs to help and I still had nothing on my stomach to actually throw up. (Sorry for the details but hey it's a "sick" post, what do you expect) Anyways I once again got ghost white and pretty much passed out, but I could still hear Dustin saying my name and trying to wake me up. I was just too weak and exhausted to respond. I did get up after a few seconds and we called the health link. Up here to get into our family doctor it takes about a week no matter what and I hate the ER and didn't want to haul all the kids there. Well the nurse on the health link said we should all be seen with the symptoms we had. So in we went.
We actually got in really fast. I tried my hardest to be strong and help the kids and Dustin but I was so weak that they put me on IV for dehydration and then gave us all tamiflu and sent us home. So they never confirmed it was H1N1 because they have to do a swab and then they have to send it to Edmonton and it can take up to a week since they are so busy there. You have to be on tamiflu for 5 days anyways so they gave it to us anyways. So now we are all on it, except Dustin since he has been feeling fine and I swear it helped instantly. Today we are a thousand times better. The girls are even up and playing which they haven't done all week. They have just been laying on the couch or cuddling with me. I'm still weak and we all still sound gross and coughing lots but at least we can walk and move and no more fevers. They were constant and it was really hard to keep them down.
I never realized how much work it was to take care of these girls until I had no choice to sit here and watch Dustin do everything. Of course they aren't sick when I have to do it so he had twice as much work as I usually do. He is truly amazing and I never have been so grateful for him. He never complained once, and tried to keep up with the housework and meds and everything. I love him.

This was on Sunday, we weren't sick but it's a cute cuddling picture so it kinda goes...

This is Jayci and Kyla on the first day, they were so sick. They would just sit and cuddle with each other. So sad.
We did a lot of this
Jayci out cold, they would fall asleep anywhere. They were so tired but couldn't sleep in their beds because they would twitch out from their fevers and scare themselves and wake up crying. So they slept on the couch a lot.

And Presley, they seriously would lay like this forever. This is when you know they are sick.
So that's about our week, longer post than I thought but oh well. I'm just glad we are getting better and I never realized how brutal this flu can be. Oh and question, do you still have to get the immunization if you have had H1N1?

Do you see what I see?

Right there, do you see it?

Lets take a closer look
How about now??

Yes it's HAIR!! Just look how excited Jayci is!!

I know right!?

I clearly remember the day when I could put two pigtails in Kyla's hair, and it was a great celebration. Well I could barely get ONE in today on these girls so I settled for fohawks. How cute are they though!! It almost made me cry. I have been so patient! People don't believe they are going into nursery because they look so young, but it's because they don't have hair! Also they choose not to talk....at all! They speak to each other in their own little language, and they know exactly what WE say to them and they are super smart, but they don't say a word! Life would be so much easier with hair and speech...

Kyla had way more hair than them by now! Here she is at Halloween when she was their age. Tell me she doesn't look like them. I think they look so much like her, especially Jayci. (Oh she is in the blue shirt up there.)

Do you see that ponytail?!?! So friggin cute!! I need it so bad!
Ok yes they are beautiful the way they are, obviously THE cutest girls EVER! But really. They are 18 months in two weeks and I would of hoped by then I would get SOMETHING. I'm getting tired of the headbands, I want to graduate to clips! Maybe for Christmas i'll get pigtails, that's what i'll ask Santa for, i'm going to write him a letter right now.

Halloween!

Well this Halloween was not what we expected. Dustin asked for the day off so he could be with us and go to the ward trunk or treat Halloween party. I was so excited for the kids because I knew how much effort was put into it and how much was going on. They were going to have a spook alley, parade of costumes, games and then the trunk or treat with everyone decorating their trunks. Well that morning it decided to snow, lots! Like blizzard snow. We didn't have any snow on the ground and in one day we got all this! Who planned this? I should beat them. So the hill going up to the church had two semi's jack-knifed on it so the road was closed and the trunk or treat was cancelled! BOO! So they decided to do just a trunk or treat in a school parking lot right across the street from our house. How convenient for us! Our church is way on the other side of fort mac, about 15 minutes from us and there is only the one road going up to it and our ward lives all over here. So it was easier but still sucky! Dang weather!

Here we are at the trunk or treat. Dustin brought along a friend to hand out our candy.
How great is this picture. They loved him.

Then we had to go downtown because Jayci lost one of her earrings in her bed and I only found the back of it. Dustin used their quilts for his dude in the car and so somewhere from the house to the car it was lost. Well I stuck one of my earrings in, it was a huge pearl and I totally forgot to take a picture dang it. It was hilarious. So we had to go get her new earrings from the mall where we got them done. After all that, I went to switch them and I couldn't get the new one in! It was pure torture for her so I gave up and now I have to wait a few days and take her back to get it pierced again! Of course it had to happen to me and this is what I get from Dustin. "I told you we shouldn't of got them done." Ya whatever. Eat it.
Ok so then we came back and went trick or treating! It was so fun hiking through the snow especially with the stroller. I was not having 3 little kids to drag through the snow, so that was their trick or treating. It not like we need all that candy because who ends up eating it anyways? Me. And i'm trying to be healthy lately, I need a good immune system with all this sickness going around and I catch everything and it hits me 100 times worse than anyone else.

Kyla and Emma. BFF'S!

So that was our Halloween.

In other news (if you didn't notice in the previous pictures), I went to the dark side....

I love the second picture, it's so sassy! ha. Totally suits the hair right? We had a wicked photo shoot here, if you only could see the rest. Actually no you shouldn't. I think I like it and will stay this way for a while.

So that's all folks!

Announcement!!

Once again, no i'm not pregnant!

This is for my awesome business! (Again) But you should still be as excited as if I were pregnant!

I thought about doing this when I first started but I didn't want to get ahead of myself, but as I was putting in my order tonight I got confirmation that I should definately start! I'm going to start doing cake toppers! I know monograms are huge right now and that's why I wanted to do it in the first place. They are going to be fancier than my normal letters and come in 2 different sizes 4" and 6" and stick right into the top of the cake. I want to make them with crystals, rhinestones, pearls or anything to match the decor. I ordered one and will make it to show you how cute they are (or will be anyways!). I still have to figure out prices etc so i'll get back to ya on that. But ya, I love having fun new announcements for my business.

Lots to say!

I'm going to do this in 3 different posts so it's more organized, so make sure you get it all!

So this last Sunday the nursery invited Jayci and Presley to come in for the first bit and last bit of nursery, everything but the lesson and snack to help them adjust to it. So I got thinking about how I can get them to tell them apart easily. So I thought of bracelets which I always make them but somehow they pull them off and break them, so that's pointless. Then I thought about getting them ID bracelets but those are a little pricey and more for like Christmas. ;) And then it hit me!! So I finally convinced Dustin and in we went....

We got their EARS PIERCED!!

Jayci before
Jayci after, a little tears but she got over it in seconds as soon as she got a sucker
Presley before

Presley after! She wasn't too sure what just happened.

Presley after with daddy

Jayci's new bling!
Jayci (left) got white flowers and Presley (right) got pink. We always put Presley in pink for people because they both start with "P" So we did the earrings the same way! I LOVE them! Who knew they could get any cuter!!

Keep reading, there is 2 more posts for ya!!
