Randomness

So since i've been lacking on the blogging bit, here is some random stuff to bore yourself with. Well the twins (which I never call them the twins, it's always babies) are rolling over everywhere! Finally! They have taken FOR-EVA to do something so yay for them! Hey it's not easy being a twin and premature. It has taken them just a bit longer to do things which the doctor told me to expect being they were 7 weeks prem. It doesn't bother me i'm just even more excited now when they do acomplish something new. Also yes they are still BALD, no... k i'm lying, they have peachfuzz! But I do love it, it is very kissable and they are still so dang cute! Dustin loves how bald our kids are too. They have started eating solids, but slowly very slowly. They gag on everything! I've tried all the beginner foods, and even tried banana rice cereal and they hate it all. They do love the regular beginner rice cereal though so i've just been giving them that so they get some sort of diet in. I am still nursing them too so that I know they are getting the best food if anything! Honestly if you have any tips on how to transition food better please let me know cuz my kids are starting aneorexia at a young age! I also think they are starting to get teeth. Jayci has little white spots that kind of look like "buds" but who knows. We always thought Kyla was teething (or we just wanted something to blame her cranky moments on) but she finally got her first tooth at 10 months old and she just got her last 2 year molar in. The dentist said it's fine she'll just be a tad late loosing them. Normally kids loose them at 6 years and she might be 6 and a half. Anywho...Jayci has been pretty fussy this week so i'm hoping it's that. Well Dustin is back to work and i'm back to my regular mom routine, if it's even called a routine. These kids are becoming more high maintenance as the days pass. I guess thats what I get for having girls eh! They like to break us in early. Oh well. So our days mainly consist of trying to all be happy and make it through alive! Well me mostly, and lately Kyla is a lucky one to be living too. She has been lacking in the lsitening department. What do I do? other than beat her?.... I've thought of that don't worry. She like knows when she drives me nuts and does these little pesty things to you. Oh and she LOVES to be the BOSS! Especially to her other kids, it's cute and most the time she is right when she's telling them what to do but I need to teach her about why mommy's and daddy's exist! (and that's to boss the kids around!) I do love her to pieces don't worry but I want my sweet little girl to always be here, and to get rid of this little devil child in her. I know I was a bossy little runt as a kid I guess this is payback! I do notice the more attention (and less time on the computer) I give her she is happier. I guess it's partially my fault but somedays I need ME time. I don't even know if it's suppose to be an option after you have kids to have me-time. Meh! Well as I said this is a random post with boring random stuff for me to bore you with! So take it all in! Well i'm super excited for the Bachelor tonight!! go Jason. I liked him a lot in the Bachelorette and Dustin loved Jessie, of course cuz he is a snowboader. Every show Dustin would be just as into it as I was cuz he wanted Jessie to win. Honestly if he could of married Jessie, I think he would of....shh don't tell him I told you this. ha. We also got to watch Desperate Houswives last night, the best show in the world. Dustin is also very into that show with me, but can you guess why? Two words... Eva Longoria. She is georgous and the envy of every woman out there. But we have been watching that show together since the first season. We love it. The other shows i'm excited for is Grey's Anatomy, 90210, and Priveleged. Who knows there is probably 3 or 4 more i'll get into. I usually do. I was also noticing the True Beauty one where they think it's about modeling or something but they are really being judged on their inner beauty, it's also on tonight. Now I just need digital cable so I can record and watch them whenever I can. It took us 4 hours to watch the new Batman the other night, we started it at 7 and ended at 11pm! Thanks to our wonderful kids we had to pause it a million and one times! We rent movies and they are always at least a week late cuz it takes us so long to watch them, some times we never even get too! Well I think thats enough of my rambling....hope you enjoyed that waste of time. (I did!) ;) Oh and Happy New Year!

I went through the same thing with Rylee and eating, but she wouldnt even take rice cereal of any sort, I tried it really runny, lumpy and in between, and she wouldnt have it, then she wouldnt eat like squash or anything, so my doctor had me try and get her on solids aggressivly. SO, we started with the puffs, and broken up cheerios, she did really REALLy well with those, and then we went to chunkier foods, like my doctor suggested me cooking squash or beans and just using a food grinder, so it wasnt puree, but it was mashed up, I just tried thicker baby food, and it worked, she said some babies just have a really bad gag reflex, and they need something more solid or thicker/chunkier to swallow. It was so hard, and confusing for me, it still is, cause she is still picky, but Scoty was not like this at all, He started eating solids at 5 months and loved everything, and just did great. He also took a bottle from day one...I breast fed him, and pumped from time to time, and then started supplementing him at about 4 months with formula too, and he did a bottle ok. Rylee, not even a chance, she wont take a bottle, breast milk or formula, she gags and acts like her life is ending....GIRLS! As for Kyla, Scoty is such a little turd too...what is with 2 year olds? I am happy though to hear that someone else is struggling with their 2 year old and listening, sometimes he will jump up and do exactly what I ask, and sometime he just does it without asking, but sometimes, oh man, what a fight! Grrrr...anyway, looks like you guys are doing good! Sorry I rambled! haha

I TOTALLY hear you about the "Is there ever such a thing as "me time" when you are a mom?" : D

And that True beauty show sounds great! That's what we need more of. Showing our daughters that it's what's on the inside that really counts. I would love to see the look on some of those girls faces, when they realize that they are being judged for something other than they think they are! LOL!

Mindy you are soooo funny! Trust me I also had those moments with Camden and still do because he is so darn bossy! My genes are certainly to blame for that! You made me laugh so many times with your stories of your kids...I so can relate, like the whole movie thing. I agree, Desperate Housewives is the best! Well keep updating us...I love to hear from you!

If you figure out how to get the tiny devil that doesn't listen out of Kyla will you please let me know. Brighton is going though the same thing, and sometimes I just want to shake him and ask him if he can hear or if there is cotton in his ears. Like today when he drew EVERYWHERE on the walls with marker! Ahhh...

So I had this great comment for you last night that was 100 miles long..and then Colton unplugged my computer and I lost it all...I was tried and annoyed so I just went to bed. Now I am refreshed and ready to go!! so now you get to hear it again from this soo expericaned mom, like I know anything right?? But I will share my experience with you because I love moms that share the reality of life and let me know I am not alone. The sweet in the children is slowley on the down slide the older they get. All ages have their frustrations and their joy and it just is the same the older they get, just in a diffrent way.
Wait till she turns 11 then you will really ask where that sweet little girl went!!! And the day will come where you can watch a movie again and enjoy your evenings and have more then 5 minutes to eat your dinner, or do anything else for youself for that matter. Me time is soo improtant, never feel guilty about it. I am just getting to the point with my kids where I am getting a bit more of it, even just by sitting in my room and reading a book in middle of the day, since they all kinda do their own thing and take care of themselves. And the built in babysitter..PURE JOY!! But I can imagine with twins now that they don't sleep as much they are getting busier..and 2 together would be crazy some days I bet. Life just gets busier and busier...And you know I always told my kids.."do you see mommys finger, when that finger goes up you know I mean business" I started a gimmic when they were young so that they knew I was serious and trouble was on its way if they didn't listen, so when I started pointing that finger they knew Mom ment business. Just let her know who is boss and nip it in the butt and they figure it out really fast. YOu will just have to be cranky somtimes its just the way it goes....Be consistant and they learn...But bossy comes natural for girls, not sure that is ever fully taken care of, I think I am still kinda bossy..heheehe. I will stop now I babble wayyy too much and I don;t make sence most the time so I will stop the torture...Have a great day!

I noticed that you left a comment on my blog...The Downtown Boutique...about needing a facelift on your blog. I think your blog looks great! It's actually better than what I can do, I think. But if you still want something else done, let me know. I can't do anything quite as fancy as what you have. :-)

By the way, your girls are gorgeous!

Ya it me again..just to comment from my blog...MIndy that is soo funny about the pampered cheif lady...I hate when people say dumb things like that. And the reality of it is that the only reason they are 600.00$ is they are marked up and the name on them. The racheal Ray set is 500.00$ in the sears catalog..the exact one I got. When I saw that I called MItch and asked him how much he paid for themm, but MItch got them on sale at Wally world for a fraction of the cost. I love Walmart. But I love them they are the greates pans...The frying pans are AMAZING!! you will not regret your purchase!! are you sick of me yet and all my nonsence???? I promise this is my last post!
