One Month Old

I can't believe how fast this time has gone. My baby girls are already a month old! They still don't do very much but they are sure amazing to look at and hold. This past week we've been home has been great. They are such good babies, they never cry and when they are hungry they just squawk a bit. They have changed everyday, I used to be able to tell them apart pretty easily but they have filled out so much that they look more alike now than ever! I put them in the same sleepers the other day and Dustin couldn't even tell them apart, and he's the one who always gets it right. They each have a birthmark on the back of their necks, Me and Kyla also have it. Luckily the marks are pretty different looking so we have a way to tell them apart if it got down to that. They are both wearing different colored bracelets and I don't dress them the same, so it makes it easier. I like to keep something different between them, I want them to be their own person and not be exactly the same. Kyla has been so awesome with them, she loves to help with everything from changing diapers to burping and wrapping them up. She is the best big sister. It's crazy we now have 3 girls. Jayci and Presley eat every 4 hours and they are on the same schedule so it works out nice. I think the hardest thing so far is when they are both hungry at the same time and Kyla needs something or is hungry too. I will have to work out some sort of schedule so I can do it all at once...haha ya right. Nights haven't been too bad, they wake up at around 11pm, 3am and 7am to eat so really there is only one time in the middle of the night they eat and it takes about 45 minutes. We change them and feed them and burp them, we make a good team when we do it together, it's all about teamwork! I do feel like I change bums all day though, at least they are cute bums! Well we move into our house next wednesday so for the next week we are getting things organized and ready for that. We are buying a kitchen table and a washer and dryer this weekend and hopefully it'll be here in time.
Well thats an update on how we've been since we got home, there will be more I promise!

Finally here!

Well I am finally home to tell the story...it is a long one. First of all I am so happy to have the girls home and be back with Dustin and Kyla, it was so hard living in the hospital for 3 weeks without them. I am glad we made it through and we can get back to our new happy life.
It all started on Saturday May 24th, we were just about to eat dinner and I noticed some pain in my lower abdomen, nothing like i've had before but it hurt. It would go away a bit but then get stronger so I wasn't sure if it was contractions or not. It got pretty bad so we decided to go into the hospital just to be sure everything was ok. We called up some friends to come watch Kyla for us and we are so so grateful for them doing that for us. We don't know too many people up here and I haven't even been to church to meet anyone, so it was good to know we had someone to rely on to lend a helping hand, thank you Jordan and Mackenzie so much, we appreciate it. So in we went, the pain stopped and Dustin and I were waiting on the Doctor to come and see me. We were joking around the whole time about how many times we went into the stupid hospital and i'll probably just be sent home again so we should just sneak out before the doctor got there! It was funny, anyways he got there and I just so happened to be 2-3cm dilated! We were shocked. They quickly decided to fly me out and we ended up going to Edmonton, there was even talk of going to Saskatoon and Vancouver cuz there was no room anywhere else! Thank goodness we got into the Misercordia hospital in Edmonton and they had One bed for me! Well we got there and everything was stopped so we spent the night in a labour and delivery room and the next morning they moved me into an antipartum bed. They decided I was staying until I had the babies so we were trying to figure out how to get Dustin home to go back to work while I stayed in the hospital. Well Monday cam along and he was going to fly home but there were no flights and so he was gonna take the bus. Well just before he left I started getting some pain in my abdomen again and he asked me if he should go get the nurse and I said "no, i'm sick of making a big deal out of things, let's wait until it is serious." That started at exactly noon and at 1:00 it wasn't really going away so Dustin asked again if he should go get the nurse so I said ok fine. Well she came in and felt my tummy and it was hard and not going soft so they took me into labour and delivery...again. They checked me and I was still 2-3cm so they thought it would stop on its own, they pumped me with fluids to try and stop it too. Well about and hour and a half later they decided to come and get me for a ful hour and a half ultrasound and by then the contractions were pretty painful and I was getting really uncomfortable. So I sat through the entire ultrasound having painful contractions, it wasn't fun. But when we got back to the room they left me for a bit and then checked me and I was 4cm, so I was in true labour. Well they asked what I wanted for pain and I said epidural forsure, but I didn't want it right away. The contractions got really really painful and started getting really close together like a few minutes apart. They called the anesthesiologist and he had to come from home on the other side of Edmonton! Well that was great...by that time my contractions were very strong right on top of eachother and I was in pain. They got me laughing gas and that didn't help at all which was really frustrating cuz as soon as I would stop using it they would have me put it right back on. I wouldn't suggest laughing gas, it never helped with Kyla and it didn't help this time. So that was a little annoying. I was so worn out after 20 minutes of having the strong contractions and finally after an hour he showed up and gave me the epidural and it saved my life! Well the epidural is known to slow down labour which it did and by that time I was 6-7cm, so they figured if this is gonna happen then lets speed it up. So they broke my water and put me on the drip, which they increased every half hour. Well at about 11pm they took me into the Operating Rom jusincase something went wrong and they had to do a c-section. It was a little overwhelming being wheeled into a huge room like that. Well I couldn't feel anything so they told me when I feel pressure or the need to push let them know, just before midnight I started to feel pressure. We were joking around about how it would be funny if one was born before midnight and the other after and they would have 2 different birthdays....I don't really think it would of been funny if it did happen though. So as soon as midnght hit I was happy and thats when I felt it...I was good to go and Jayci was first she cam out in 5 minutes and Presley was 11 minutes after, they were born at 12:10 and 12:21am. It was so fast, I think I pushed 4 times with the first one and maybe 10 with the second cuz she had to come down still. But it was was easier than I thought and went really well. They took them to the NICU and Dustin went to while I got cleaned up etc. It took them forever and I wanted to see them so bad. Finally Dustin came back and I went in a wheel chair, which was difficult cuz I could feel my legs so they had to help me get in. But I finally saw them and it was so awesome. I didn't get to hold them until the next morning though. But they were healthy and a good size. Jayci Dakota Francis was born at 12:10am and weighed 4lbs 11oz and was 16 1/2in long. Presley Taya Francis was born at 12:21am and weighed 4lbs 12oz and was 16 3/4in long. They were so tiny but so beautiful. They didn't need oygen which they were amazed by with how early they were, I was only 33 weeks pregnant to the day. They did n eed to be on feeding tubes, IV's and had to be on monitors. They were jaundice on the 3rd day and had to be under the lights for a couple days. They also were having some Apnea episodes which is where they stop breathing cuz that part of their brain isn't fully developed yet and it's really common in preemies. I didn't know that and I had a hard time when they told me that. It's never easy to hear your baby stops breathing. Presley was worse so they had to put her on Caffeine which helps the Apnea for a couple days. Jayci didn't have as many and she grew out of it pretty quick. They took Presley off the caffeine after a couple days but she continued to have them but not very often. I stayed in the hospital the whole time with them and went for most of the feedings. They started eating on their own fairly quickly and progressed amazingly. They were in their own beds after a couple weeks and holding their temperatures all on their own. They told me to expect to be there until my 40 week due date which was July 15th...a long time. It was hard but I just took it day by day and it really made it easy knowing that they were makin huge progress everyday and they never really went downhill or backwards. Before they got to come home they have to be put in a carseat test where they go in a carseat on the monitors for an hour and a half and they can't have and Apnea or Brads (heart rate drops, they had a couple of these too.) Jayci past it a week before Presley so she got discharged a couple days after passing it, so last wednesday she was able to stay in my room with me. They moved me into a room in the NICU so I could be close to both of them. The weekend was hard cuz if Presley didn't have any episodes for 72 hours and passed the carseat test then we could go home and I wanted to come back with Dustin and Kyla so bad. Luckily she did and we got to bring them home! The last 3 weeks have been hard but I am so grateful for the nurses and other moms that helped me through it. I am so glad to have our babies home and that they are healthy. Presley is back on the caffiene for another couple weeks, just to be safe and they will slowly wean her off of it. We have our first appt tomorrow with the Pediatrician. I love having them home and they are amazing babies, all they do is sleep and eat. It's pretty easy so far, they eat every 4 hours and that is so nice. So far our nights have been awesome and they have even slept for 6hrs each both nights! Pretty crazy. We are moving into our house on July 2nd and I can't wait! I'm so excited! Things are going great. I am so grateful for our new faily of 5 and Dustin is sure a proud dad of his girls. He is so overprotective of them and it is so cute. He is an amazing dad and I am so proud to have him as a husband. Kyla is doing great she loves the girls and helps out like crazy, she gives them their soothers, helps wrap them in blankets, kisses and holds them and helps with the diaper changes. She is quite an awesome big sister. She hasn't even had a jealous episode yet. She is going to be a great big sister. I am doing great, I recovered very quickly and being in the hospital not doing much helped with that. This whole thing has been actually pretty easy for me and I just have been positive through it all. I was pretty emotional the first few days after having them...but who wouldn't be? I actually got addicted to the series of Twilight thanks to Jill, she finally broke me in after telling me for a month to read it. I read the first book in 3 days the 2nd in two and the 3rd in two. I loved them! They got me through this! If you haven't read them then do! I can't wait for the fourth book and movie to come out! Oh and I hate reading! ha Well thats the story, I told you it was long and that was a shorted version of it. I am grateful for the love and support through all of this and couldn't of done it without family and friends. I love my life and I can't believe how blessed we are.
I will add some pictures a little later. I have most on facebook. But I will be adding more don't worry, i'm kind of camera happy, I think we took like 400 pictures in the hospital!

Reflecting back

I thought it would be neat to go back and look at all the pictures from when Kyla was born. I had my mom in the delivery room so she got a couple good videos and pictures of various things...obviously not the birth but she did get right after. I have been watching them over and over and of course bawling my eyes out! I am getting so excited to do it all again, I don't know why we want to go through that pain but after they are here it's totally worth it. I had a rough labour but i'm willing to do it again for these next two. It seems like yesterday Kyla was born and it was 2 years ago. I can't believe how fast time goes and it scares me to think of these twins 2 years old! Kyla came out really fast and she was really bruised on her face, arm and top of her head. She was 3 1/2 weeks early but she weighed 6lbs 12oz and was a healthy girl. She was a little jaundice but that's the only complicaton she had. We came home after 3 days in the hospital. I'm actually excited to see what this next experience goes like compared to the first. Brand New!

An update

I figured I should put a new post up since it's been a while. Not too much is new. I am almost 31 weeks now and I can't believe how fast it has gone by, I just hope the next few go by even faster. We had another little scare on Thursday night. I woke up at 1:30 in the morning having contractions again so we went into the hospital. They said I had an infection of some sort and it started the contractions (any kind of sickness or infection can start labour.) So they pumped me with 3 bags of IV and some antibiotics. I have so many different holes in my arms from needles and IV's it's insane! Dustin said I have had my blood pressure taken more this pregnancy than he has his whole life and he is just gonna buy me my own blood pressure machine so when they need it I can do it at home and just call them and tell them what it is! He was laughing at me the whole time cuz I practically live in the hospital and everytime they checked me or poked me with a needle or took my blood pressure he would laugh. Anyways everything stopped and turned out ok, we got sent home after all the IV bags were done. We were really tired the next day and slept for most of it. I am so ready to be done with this pregnancy and all the complications that came with it. I hope these next few are easy and I go into labour at the right time and won't have to be flown to Edmonton. I was panicking the other day cuz I started to make a list of things we still need and we need everything!! I havent really thought about how much we don't have yet. Little things such as soothers, bottles, and even diapers! I've been so distracted I haven't even realized it. So I went on a wal-mart shopping spree the other day and bought some stuff finally. I feel a little better now. I just hope they have our stroller in stock next week when Jill and Travis go to Edmonton.

I decided to start Kyla up again on potty training. I'm sure she could of been trained by now with the huge interest she was showing in January but I was just so sick with morning sickness I didn't have the energy or patience to do it. We bought her some princess pull-ups and some panties, so far she has gone a few times in the big potty, not even in her little potty she wants to go on the big one! My mom bought a little seat for her and she loves it. She sits on it forever! So lets hope she catches on before these babies come. If anyone has any good pointers on potty training I'm open to hear anything, i've never done it before and i'm hoping i'm doing it right.

I had to post this picture. This is a daily ritual after dinner the girls strip down as fast as they can and are ready for their bubble bath. Cute little bums eh?

Our babies!

Here is the ultrasound pictures from Monday's Doctors appointment, (29 weeks) They are so much bigger than before. The top one is Baby B, which is a really good profile shot. The bottom one is Baby A and you can't really see it but the face is looking away, so we see her back. You can see her hand and spine though. The doctor took lots of Baby B, poor A got neglected but she wouldn't turn around for us. I am getting so excited, I only have 4 more weeks until its safe to deliver here! I would like to go further but it's just so nice knowing that if I don't have that much further to go before they'll keep me here, cuz I don't want to go to Edmonton. I'll be putting a picture up on Monday of my belly of 30 weeks!

Happy Anniversary!!

I can't believe it's already been 4 years. I would love to turn back time to our wedding day and do it all over again, we truly had an amazing day. I don't remember anything going wrong and the weather was so perfect. I wish I had the box of photo albums somewhere so I could put some pictures on, but I did find some proofs of our pictures we got done, they aren't the best but it will have to do for now.
These 4 years have been amazing and we have done so much. We have never had it easy but we sure have always been happy no matter what. That is one thing I love about our marriage is how happy we have been no matter what the situation was. Dustin is a very patient person and just knows how to make me happy whenever i'm not. We can talk to eachother about anything and we never make decisions without eachother, (the bigger decisions of course). I love him so much and I am so excited to share the rest of my life with him. He is an amazing dad and loves Kyla so much, and he is just as excited for the next two daughters to come. I wish I had more time cuz I could go on forever about how much I love him and why, but for now....I love you Dustin.

To answer your questions

So I got this idea from someone else and I loved it. This is a post to answer everyones questions about what is going on in our life lately. Alot of people have been asking me the same questions, so here I am to answer them. I find it way easier to do it this way so I don't have to write the same thing over to different people. I'm so grateful for everyone and their support through this pregnancy, it has sure meant a lot and I hope I can do the same for you.

What is the sex of babies?
We are having 2 more girls, we have had 4 ultrasounds so we are pretty sure that we can count on it.

Are they Identical or Fraternal?
We don't know yet, they won't be able to tell until they are born since they are in their own seperate placentas and sacs, it's a 70% chance they are fraternal, and 30% that they are still identical. They can do a test on the placentas when they are born, or even a simple DNA test to see.

When are you actually due?
My original 40 week due date is July 15th, but full-term with twins is 37 weeks and that is June 23rd. as long as I make it to 34 weeks we are happy cuz that way we can deliver in Fort Mcmurray. They won't deliver me up here before 34 weeks because they don't have a NICU so if the babies need extra care we will get flown to Edmonton...so lets hope not.

Why are you on bedrest?
At 24 weeks I started to cramp and went into preterm labour. I am dialated 1cm and my cervix is funneled or effaced 2 cm. They were able to stop it and now I am at home and practically live on the couch. You can read more details in one of my earlier posts about our scare. I can't do any straining or stand for too long. It is very frustrating and definately a sacrifice for me, but i'm willing to do anything for 2 healthy baby girls.

How are you feeling?
Huge! I am growing like you wouldn't believe, I can't believe what our bodies can do as women, it's amazing. I have been measuring weekly and i'm bigger everytime. It's hard sleeping, sitting, walking, standing...really nothing is comfortable anymore. I know I sound like i'm complaining a lot, but trust me it's really starting to wear me down. It's even harder to breathe, and both babies are head down right now and it is a lot of pressure and weight down there. I am really starting to hurt in the area where your legs connect to your pelvis, like my groin area or something. ha I dunno...but I can hardly walk anymore cuz it hurts so bad. Needless to say I feel for anyone who has to be pregnant with twins!

Do you have to have a c-section or can you go naturally?
If everything goes right and the first baby is head down, then I can probably go naturally. They can always try to turn the second one around if it's breach...or if they can't I might have to have a c-section to get the second baby out, which is my nightmare to have both. If there are no complications then i'll have them naturally. I am hoping that I won't have to have a c-section, I don't want a long hard recovery especially after already being on bedrest for 3 months.

Does Kyla understand what's going on?
I'm not too sure, she knows mommy has 2 babies in her tummy but who knows if she 'really' gets it. She'll be a great big helper though cuz she is quite the smarty pants and I think she will love these little babies when they get here.

Do you have names yet?
Yes we have one definately that we like and a few other ones we are deciding between. No we aren't sharing what they are, i'm all about surprises and I don't want peoples opinions. We already shared what the sexes are so we want something to be a surprise. We didn't originally even want to find out the sex of this pregnancy we never did with Kyla, but then we found out it was twins and I am all about preparation and it's a little easier with twins if you know what they are. If we name them and someone doesn't like them, well too bad cuz thats what they are!

Are you ready for the babies?
Nope not even close and I only have 6 weeks left! We are in need of clothes for newborn and preemie sizes. We got lots given to us but most of them are 6mo-2yr sizes. I am going to be doing a lot of online shopping! Jill and Travis are picking up our stroller and carseats in Edmonton in a few weeks for us. We aren't too concerned about the cribs quite yet cuz we have a bassinet we will probably use for the first bit. Especially cuz they'll be in our room for a while. I did find the ones I want though, so we'll order them when we want. I'm hoping everything else will just fall into place. Oh and i'm making baby quilts but I still have to order the material for them, but im not too concerned of getting them done in time seeing as I have no life...I am in need of a project!

Well I hope this has answered most of your questions and i'm thankful for all your concerns about our situation. It has been hard but only 6 more weeks and we can relax and not worry anymore...but then I guess the real fun begins when they get here eh? Oh they joys of life!!

27 weeks!

I have to post about this cuz it is so exciting to make it one more week and I feel like 27 weeks is a good step. I wanted to wait until net week cuz I will be 7 months but I feel like it has been a while since I took a picture. I have been taking this pregnancy day by day and hoping that I will hold off to the end, it's just so releiving knowing i'm 3 weeks further than I was when I went into preterm labour. We are so lucky. I am growing daily and I honestly dont know where these babies are going to go cuz I was this big with Kyla at the end. I luckily don't have anymore stretch marks (yet) but really I can't help it if I do get them. I have accepted it that I will probably get lots. My life has been really boring lately with being on bedrest, so I am very limited to what I can do. I have been going for weekly checkups at the hospital and my first week I went in didn't go to well, here's what happened. My appointment was at 11:30 and they told me to be there early to fill out some forms etc. So we are breakfast at about 8:30 and left at about 10:30, Jill dropped me off and took the girls and went a couple places. Well the wait was long, even with my appt. They get a lot of walk-ins and it's baby crazy up here, they never have beds. Anyways I was in the waiting area by myself and started to feel really dizzy and I knew if I stood up I would pass out. Well luckily Jill came in with the girls and she went and got the nurse, so they took me into a room and checked my blood pressure and it was really low. They hooked me up to IV and I had to stay for a couple hours to get the fluids in me. Well I think it was cuz I didn't eat, the wait was long and I didn't get into a bed until after 12:00 so thats a long time in between eating for me. Anyways I made sure the next time I ate right before I went in. I decided I really hate hospitals and I am getting so sick of them! I just want this pregnancy to go by so fast and be done. The babies are moving like crazy lately and I am getting a lot bigger. I hate bedtime cuz I wake up so many times to either go pee or now rolling over I even have to wake up! Who would of thought eh? I don't think it's hit me really that we are having two...honestly I don't think it has! It probably won't until they are here! We have our names, stroller, cribs, and clothes all picked out, now I just have to buy it! This bedrest thing sucks. I wanted to take a trip to Edmonton this month to do some serious baby shopping, now it looks like it'll all be online. Not so fun but I guess it'll have to work.

Kyla is doing great, she actually got a fat lip this morning, she fell on a toy and cut it open...poor thing. She took it hard too, normally she is pretty tough and will get right up and be fine but I think she had a hard time with the fat lip. She held ice or a cold cloth on it for at least an hour and didn't want to get off my lap. (Which is also getting minimal!) She trys to lay back on my lap but my belly is so big that she can't and she got frustrated, it was kind of funny. Well I think thats pretty much it for now, my life is boring.

Here is her fat lip, not the best shot but you can see it on the middle of her top lip.

Kyla and Dustin playing with the last pile of snow in the front yard, he brought some of it from the backyard so there was more.

This was 24 weeks, I just never put it on here and that shirt no longer fits me!

Happy Birthday Kyla!

Well I can't believe it but our daughter is 2 years old. I feel like I was just pregnant with her and now she is talking like crazy and is such a smarty pants. She never stops amazing us with what she can do, she is quite the copy cat so she says pretty much anything. She also doesn't forget anything, sometimes its a bad thing ;) We love her so much, she will always be my baby. She is going to be a big sister soon and I think thats why we've been so blessed with how big of a helper she is so she will be able to help me a lot with these other 2 girls.
Here are some pictures of her birthday, we celebrated it on Easter weekend with all of Dustin's family. I guess it was a good thing with me being on bedrest, her birthday won't be a huge deal today so good thing we did it early. Here are also some pictures of Easter. I kind of haven't got around to an Easter post considering our latest situation. But here is our big girl all grown up.

With cousin Emma in their new Rain suits, they wore their boots pretty much everyday all day. Now Kyla has a big blister on her toe so I think they will be hidden for a bit.

A little Scare

You never think it'll happen to you but it did to us and we were very lucky it didn't turn out worse. It all started last Wednesday, we were hanging out at Jill and Travis's and I didn't really feel right all day but I started to get cramping in my lower abdomen in the evening at about 9:00, it gradually got worse and I decided I needed to just go to bed, I went to the bathroom and it started to get stronger, it felt like menstrual cramps and not small ones. Dustin was with me the whole time and thought I just needed to go to bed, so I tried getting into bed but I got really nautious and didn't feel right. We decided to go to the hospital at about midnight. They got me on the monitors and told me the doctor would see me again in the morning, cuz everything was ok when the doctor checked me when we first got there. so I sent Dustin home to get a good sleep. Well a couple hours later the nurse came in and said I was having regular contractions, she grabbed the doctor and she checked me again and I was dialated 1cm and my cervix was softening. I was in labour. She quickly decided to fly me to Edmonton, she went and phoned them but they were full so they decided to send me to Calgary where if these babies were going to be born they could be in high NICU care. Seeing as I was only 24 weeks. I called Dustin right away and told him to pack a bag for us and get to the hospital cuz they were going to have me out of there within half an hour. He got there on time and in the airplane we went, I was on a stretcher and Dustin sat beside me. I was really nausious the whole time, it was miserable. I was puking every 10 minutes with nothing in me. It was brutal. We got the the hospital in Calgary and I had 2 doctors come in to see me. The contractions stopped before we even got into the plane. They gave me a steroid shot and hooked me up to IV for fluids and gave me a couple other things which in all I think stopped the contractions. They kept me on monitors for a couple days and checked on me all the time. I had an ultrasound which confirmed the funneling of the cervix which isn't normal. It was confusing for a few days on what they wanted to do with me. They didn't want to send me home to Fort Mcmurray cuz they don't have the NICU care for the babies here, they atually were thinking of keeping me for 6-8 weeks. Monday morning came and the doctor came in to see me and said if the ultrasound had no change from when we first got there I could go home on bedrest. Dustin was with me the whole time and it was so hard being away from Kyla for that long. She stayed up in Fort Mac with Dustins family. The hardest part was thinking I would have to stay for weeks without family or anything. Dustin had to come back home to work so we needed to make a decision. Luckily the ultrasound came back and nothing had changed so they sad I could go home. I was so happy cuz it would of been so hard not seeing Dustin or Kyla for a week at a time, although I had to consider the babies if they did come. I just had a calming feeling the whole time, and honestly Dustin and I both felt that everything was going to be ok. Poor Jill had a harder time I think than we did. She had her first baby at 26 weeks and he past away when he was 20 days old, he was 2lbs 5oz. So she has been through this and didn't want us to go through the same thing they did. They have been a great support for us. All of our family has. I'm so glad we have the good friends and family we do that we can count on at times like this. That is our story of our latest challenge. I am now at home in Fort Mac on bedrest and really I can't do nothing, I have the help of Jill thankfully and Dustin works close by if anything goes wrong. I am supposed to go for weekly stress tests at the hospital to make sure everything is ok, which is good. But I hope thats the only scare we have for the rest of this pregnancy.

We're Here!

Not too sure if i'm excited yet, but i'm sure it'll come. We have been in chaos this week trying to help Jill and Travis finish their basement so we can get settled in our little place down there. We are going to apply for our housing tomorrow and things are looking great for that. We might even get in sooner than planned, so lets keep our fingers crossed. Well other than that there isn't much to tell. We had Easter here on Sunday and had a big dinner as always with Dustin's family. Things have been quite crazy but I know it'll get better as time goes, and it'll be worth it in the end for us. I sure am missing Okotoks and knowing how close I was to family, I guess they will just have to make some more trips up here to see us!

Well I am now 6 months pregnant, i'm pretty sure I am 24 weeks, I kind of lost track in all the move. I have my first appointment on Monday with our doctor here and i'm pretty excited, he has an ulatrasound machine right in his office so we can get one everytime. I'm sure they will anyways from now on. I am hoping I make it at least 10 more weeks and i'll be happy. I have been really tired lately but I think it's from all the change and crazyness in our life right now. I'm just glad we are here and I can relax the rest of the time.

Kyla's Little Accident

This was her first real accident, and I was always afraid that she would do this. I was baking some cookies for our ward non-talent show and I was having her help ealier in the day. I had to wait for Dustin to get home from work cuz I didn't have chocolate chips. Anyways well it got time to almost leave and I still had a couple batches to cook, do Kyla's hair, get the diaper bag ready, and put cookies into a container. I was kind of rushing around and took one of the batches out of the oven and put it on the counter, I put it a little too close to the edge. (So it's kind of my fault, I told her hot don't touch and she knows but they still forget) Well I turned around and saw her reach up and grab it. She pulled away quickly and of course screamed. I grabbed her and sat her on the counter and ran it under cold water. It must of helped her feel so much better cuz she wouldn't take it out of the water. Which I was glad about. Anyways on her 3 middle fingers it was starting to blister a bit. I put some aloe vera on it and gave her a cold cloth to hang on to cuz we had to leave. Dustin was performing in the talent show so we had to go. Him and some friends did Def Leppard air band, it was quite hilarious and i'll get some pics on here as soon as I can. Kyla wasn't having a fun time at the talent show, she was in pain the whole time. I got a cup of cold water and she stuck her hand in it and wouldn't take it out the whole time. But as soon as it wasn't cold anymore she would grit her teeth and kind of shake cuz it was stinging and want to rub it which I was worried about cuz I didn't want her to pop the blisters. I know exactly how she feels, i'm sure everyone does cuz we've all burned ourselves. I got a glance at her hand and it was blistering really bad, so we decided to take her to Urgent Care. They said she had 2nd dregree burns and that they needed to bandage it up and keep it that way for a few days. We've only had to change it once but thats cuz it kind of came apart. Anyways, not a super big tradegy but it was sure sad seeing her try to be tough when she was in pain. She is functioning quite well with her new stub. It's sad to see her all bandaged up. The blisters still haven't popped yet, maybe today sometime. We now just have to watch for infection and keep the bandage on for a couple more days. Well that was our eventful Saturday night!

I hate moving

Well when you grew up in 10 different schools and have moved 7 times since graduating, you would hate it too! Just when I thought we would be settled here and we wouldn't have to move far again. Dustin gets the most amazing job offer, and at the perfect time too. We were really struggling on what to do when these babies come. We live in our 2 bdrm condo and can't afford to upsize, so we were praying for an answer. The next week this job came up! So we knew it was our answer to our prayers. Dustin is so excited and we know it's an awesome oppurtunity for us. Not everyone gets a chance like this. Besides we are young still and we don't have kids in school. We are only planning on going for a couple years then we are definately coming back here to settle! I love Okotoks and really want to reaise my family here so I know we will be back. We are putting our house up for sale in 2 weeks, pretty much the day we move... March 21st! I'm not even close to being ready to move. We haven't packed one box yet! This weekend we will do most of it. I just have a hard time myself, you know since i'm pregnant!! haha I do tend to push myself to hard somedays and then pay for it after. I need to stop doing that cuz it's definately not good for me. I'm just not used to being limited. Dustin is the best husband and helps me all the time. He'll rub my back, cook supper, puts Kyla to bed, gets up in the night when she wakes up and will let me sleep. He's very patient and i'm so grateful for everything he does. Now he just has to pack and move us!! I'm not asking too much eh? haha poor guy, and now he has 4 girls to deal with!! I love him!

20 weeks!

So this is a big mile stone, 5 months! I can't believe how fast it has gone by so far. I know the next 3ish months will go by even faster with us moving and all. I will officially tell you we are moving on March 21st to Fort Mcmurray. Dustin got a job offer up there so we are gonna go make so good money (and save it) ;) then come back here to Okotoks. I know this is where I want to end up raising my family. The sooner we come back the better but i'm thinking a couple years forsure. I think it we stay here we will be stuck in a 2 bdrm condo for a long time with 3 kids! Not very fun. I think this is a great opportunity for Dustin and he is really excited about it. His boss is a great guy, who we can trust so we know it's safe. We even have a place to live when we go there. Everything just kind of worked out for us, kind of an answer to our prayers. Dustin's sister lives up there so I know I won't be alone, thank goodness. I don't think i'd go if I didnt know anyone up there. Well back to the pregnancy, i've been feeling a lot better for sickness, I only get sick when I miss taking a pill. I'm down to taking one at night and thats it. So i'm glad for that, as soon as I miss taking it though i'm over the toilet all day! So they pretty much save my life! This weekend I started to feel a lot of Braxton Hicks contractions. It's weird cuz I never had them with Kyla and now when i'm doing anything physical, walking or standing for too long they start. It's not very comfortable either! The past 2 days i've been resting a bit more and haven't had them very much. So I keep having these weird dreams that we are having one girl and one boy, last night it was so real too. I delivered one of each and we didn't know until I delivered them! I am second guessing the ultrasound now and I'll be comfortable on our next one when they see what they are again, just to be sure. I was so positive it was a boy and girl before too. So who knows! I hope I find out soon if they messed up so I can buy boy stuff cuz I have nothing! It's sure weird though! I'm having 2 baby showers before we move and i'm so excited for them! One is this weekend in Cardston and one is on March 15th in Okotoks. I really hope a lot of people come cuz it's kind of a goodbye thing for me too, since moving came so fast. I want to see as many people before we move and these showers would be a great time to do that. So all of you should come! Oh and I am going to put up the ultrasound pictures, I just need to get to a scanner.

I had to put this picture of Kyla on cuz I love it, she is getting so old I can't believe she turns 2 in April.
