Coming to an end

Well it's almost that time, the worst time of the year for me...the end of summer. I am starting to think that I am living in the wrong place if I love summer so much! Oh well we are happy here and I guess my life wouldn't be the same without 10 months of winter! We are all done our holidays and we had a blast this summer. Dustin finished school in the the end of June and then we found out he had to get hernia surgery, so he got it on July 4th. Recovery was basically the whole summer and he did great. We went for holidays the beginning of August to Penticton and Kelowna. We camped in Penticton which was our first time with Kyla, she did pretty good considering. If she woke up in the night she just came into our bed, which she never does, and went right back to sleep. We also went to my cousin's cabin on the Okanagan which is also a ton of fun. When we got back we left the next day down to Taber for pretty much the week. Then left again the next weekend for a wedding and mission homecoming in Raymond and Lethbridge. We are now getting back into our old routine, Dustin is back at work and I am back at home. I kind of missed our regular things. It was good to be home.

Sweetpea Treats~Baby Bracelets

I am making baby bracelets and they are ready for sale! I can do all colors and sizes. I am selling them for $10 each. If I have to mail them, it'll be $2 extra for shipping. I find them to be very attractive but simple. I'm going to be posting a few pictures of them to get the idea. If you see one you like and want it in a different color, I can make it. The Big Move

I realized it has been a while and I never updated about our move. We recently bought a condo in Okotoks and moved in April 13th. It's a 2 bedroom place and it's only 3 years old. We absolutely love it here! I don't think I want to live anywhere else for a long time, I could see us raising a family here. Eventually buying an acreage just outside town and having quads and dirtbikes for the kids. Dustin eventually wants to start his own business so we figured the best place to do that is Calgary. We weren't to set on living in Calgary so Okotoks is perfect! You get the city living without living in the city, and we have everything we need right here in town! (Other than the mall of course) It's about a 15 minute drive to Calgary so it's not bad at all. The church is very strong out here and there are quite a few young couples that live here. I guess it's the place to be!

Many changes

It has been a long time since I have posted anything on here. We have had a lot of changes lately. We just bought a house in Okotoks, we had Kyla's first birthday in April, and Dustin is just finishing his first year in school. I am now working part-time in the evenings and still a full time mom in the days! Kyla is now walking all over the place, she talks a bunch of jibberish and she copies everything you do! She is a blast. We love living in Okotoks and couldn't be happier right now. I'll put some pictures on here to update it, I have so many to chose from! I also have a facebook account with a ton of pics on it! The one of me and Kyla is on Mother's day, and her on the swing was her first time at the park this year. I also love the one of her and Dustin! It is so priceless the look on her face!

A Drastic Change!!

I thought it was time for a change! A big one too! As you can see I went dark, really dark! But I absolutely love it. Dustin loves it too. We had a little mishap at first I streaked it and that didn't work out to well, it just went grey! Oops, oh well it looks good now. Well Nothin too much is new other than that. Kyla's growing up so fast, it's crazy! She is learning new talents everyday. She can now put her tounge into a loop!! I can't even do that. She just sucks on it and then there it is! It's so funny. Well we are still our happy little family!

Well as you can see, we shaved off Dustin's hair, this was a big event for me because I have never seen Dustin's hair this short, I was kind of nervous but I actually like it! Dustin said he wanted to be like Kyla! Too cute!~

The Last of Summer

Well this long weekend was a little different. Dustin went on a 4 day camping trip with some friends up at Glacier lake. It was a total rouging it trip and he had lots of fun because that's what he loves to do. While he was gone I went to Cardston to visit the family. It was hard because I had no way of getting ahold of him the whole time, so I wasn't even sure if he was alive! While we were in Cardston went to Waterton and had a few picnics over the weekend, and had a lot of fun. Kyla had her first taste of strawberries and grapes (the juice of course) she sucked on it pretty good. We're just relaxing here at Henderson Lake in Lethbridge.
I can't believe summer is over, I guess we were so busy it just flew by us! We celebrated Dustin's 23rd birthday last week on the 29th, and the weekend before that we went to Taber for cornfest, Kyla's first! It was good to see his family again. Well I'm hoping life will settle down and we can just enjoy ourselves for a while!

Well our little angel is growing like a weed! She is constant smiles and rarely is grouchy, only when she is hungry or really tired. I just wanted to post a picture of our happy Kyla!~

Summer 06

Well Summer is almost over and we sure have been busy. Kristy's wedding, visiting Jill and Travis in Fort McMurray, mom and dad Francis visiting, and taking care of our little angel, Kyla. We are about to go to cornfest in Taber the last weekend in August, and that same weekend my parents are moving to Cardston. I don't think our life will ever settle down. Well as long as we have fun on the way!

This summer Kyla has sure grown up, she now weighs 13lbs and looks just like her daddy. She is non-stop smiling and has even started laughing! She is rolling over from her stomach to her back now, Grandma Petersen taught her that and can roll onto her side when laying on her back. It's crazy how fast they learn things. She is even starting to get some hair! Oh well she is our little bald baby and we love her!

This is one of Kyla and Daddy's favortie thing. She's a very strong girl and can sit very still.

Well Kyla and I just got back from my sister, Kristy's wedding which was on July 22, she married a guy named Brandon Bird from Portland Oregon. They were married in the Portlnd Temple. My sisters and I were the bridesmaids and the groomsmen were his brother's and his best man was his cousin. It was a beautiful wedding, everything went perfectly.

Our new baby

I thought I would start off this site with our latest big event, which would be the birth of our daughter, Kyla Mindy Francis. She was born on April 4th 2006, at 8:22pm in Rockyview Hospital in Calgary. I went through 20 long hard hours of labour, Dustin and my mom were with me the whole way. We went in at 2:00am the night before, and i was having hard contractions which were close together. I was dialated 6cm so they transferred me to the labour room. Well the contractions continued but nothing else did after about 5 hours. I stayed the same for a while, so they had to force my labour. After 15 long, exhausting hours, our baby girl was born! It was the most amazing experience ever, and after it was all done with, and the pain was over, it was totally worth it. This is Kyla only 2 days out of the hospital, what an angel! The other one is Kyla in daddy's arms! So cute!
