Busy month!

This month has been CRAZY!

Dustin finished school! He wrote his test on Friday, so we find out the results in about a week, and he is freaking out. I know he passed but he is nervous. He also got an honors certificate for getting over 85% in school, i'm so proud of him.

It was my Birthday, already blogged about that.

The twins are now both fully potty trained, day AND NIGHT!!! Did you catch that? NIGHT TRAINED!! They all of the sudden started waking up all on their own, and it's been about 6 nights now with no accidents! Jayci woke up last week in the night at 3am saying she had to pee, and went, and woke up that morning dry. A night or two later Presley was doing it too, and since then it's been dry pull ups in the morning. When we run out of these pullups I think it'll be panties all the time. Holy money saver!! They are doing so great and it's all on their own. The only thing we do is supply the candy after each time. We ran out of candy on Saturday and they haven't mentioned it since, but at first I know it helped motivate them. So i'm not going to get more because they are doing great. I didn't bother with a sticker chart, because they were awesome on their own. I couldn't of asked for a better experience! All I know is i'm glad I waited until THEY were ready and it was so easy, and worth the wait. Day and night trained in a week!! I am seriously blessed.

We also took down their cribs, we don't have access to a store with beds for them up here, so we just put their mattresses on the ground, and they love it! They look so little on them in their corners. They sleep all night and go back to bed good, and play way less before they actually go to sleep. It was becoming a little ridiculous with the cribs and how long they would play before going to sleep, and they are beyond ready enough to be out of them. I have a couple beds picked out so when we go down south before Christmas we'll pick them up.

It snowed the other day. Sucky, but it melted and it's just cold now. Thank goodness we invested in the winter stuff last week! I forced the girls outside quick for a shot of the snow. It wasn't that cold, and it was only for a second. I didn't even get them to look at me before they ran in. Oh well. You get to see how cute the twins pigtails are. Their hair is coming, slowly but at least I can do stuff with it now. I love it.

One last important thing. I had an ultrasound today! They wanted to get one to check on the cramping and make sure everything is ok. But we also found out there is definitely only ONE baby in there. yay!! We were prepared for two but are relieved to know there is only one coming! It never gets old seeing your baby on the monitor. It was awesome, and felt that much more real. I'm measuring on track and she said everything looked good and not to worry but i'll see the doctor in a week for the results. We also are not finding out what we're having! (I win) Dustin is naming it if it's a boy and he already has his name and I get to pick if it's a girl, and I have mine. Well a few. I like his name he has too, so it'll all work out. He totally doesn't care if we wait either. So yay for that!

I also think I felt the baby? Two nights ago I felt this nauseating butterfly feeling, and at first I was like, whoa, that was kinda weird. But after a few more times, I thought maybe it was the baby, but thought it was super early, so I looked up how early you can feel it and it said from 14 weeks on, and I am 14 weeks. Especially since i've had babies it'll be more noticable. So it probably is the baby but it's nothing huge, just some butterflies. But still exciting! Every little thing makes such a huge change for me, and makes it seem more real.

Um what else. We are going down south for Halloween this weekend. We are leaving on Thursday after Kyla's school halloween party. I'm so excited for her! I love that she gets a halloween party at school, as i've said before it's a bigger deal for me I think. I was definitely on that volunteer list. I'm also excited to finally meet my new nephew and niece and see my family. It's been forever since we've all got together, and it should be fun!

After that, this month will be over, Dustin will be back to work and life will be back to normal.

I don't have a lot of pictures this post. I haven't took hardly any lately at home, but after this weekend i'm sure there will be a ton of Halloween ones.

I think that's it. One baby, Dustin school, snow, and potty training. Yup that's it.

Have a good Halloween!!!!

Good food

I'm have never posted recipes, but I have a few friends who have and I love getting new good recipes. So I want to share a couple of mine I found! Maybe i'll do it more often.

As someone who doesn't love to think of something to cook, or even cook much, I love it when I get excited about a good recipe. Don't get me wrong, when I plan my meals or know what i'm cooking, I like it, it's just thinking of something that sucks. I love baking more though! I'm a picky eater so I love it when I love food. It's exciting.

ps: I like EASY food.

These are awesome recipes, you should try.

Chicken Cordon Bleu

3 Boneless chicken breasts
6 thin slices of ham
3 slices Swiss cheese

egg

bread crumbs

Flatten chicken with a rolling pin. Lay the slice of ham on the breast, then the cheese. Roll up and secure with toothpicks. Dip each roll in beaten egg and then bread crumbs. Place into lightly greased baking dish and sprinkle with paprika. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Add water if it appears dry.

A couple tips I will use next time.

To make the egg and bread crumbs set and stay thicker you can refrigerate it for a little bit before putting it into the pan. Also I used a pasta sauce, called parmesan something. It was AWESOME. Also you could use mozza instead of montery jack ontop, it's cheaper and would be just as good.

And then one of my favorite things to order is chicken parmesan, and this recipe is so good that I will make it now because it's pretty much the same!

Tomato Chicken Parmesan

2 eggs beaten

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

7 oz seasoned bread crumbs

6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves

1 tbsp vegetable oil

12 oz pasta sauce

6 slices monterey jack cheese

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. Pour beaten eggs into a shallow dish or bowl. In another shallow dish or bowl, mix together the grated Parmesan cheese and bread crumbs. Dip chicken breasts into beaten egg, then into bread crumb mixture to coat.
  3. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium high heat. Add coated chicken and saute for about 8 to 10 minutes each side, or until chicken is cooked through and juices run clear.
  4. Pour tomato sauce into a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Add chicken, then place a slice of Monterey Jack cheese over each breast, and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until cheese is completely melted.

Your welcome.

Happy Birthday to me

Yesterday I turned 25 finally. Yes i'm young, but I finally feel old enough to say I have 3 kids (one on the way), 25 is like a legit adult or something. Ya it makes sense to me, don't worry about it.

So it was the perfect day for me. I normally am all over Dustin about my birthday asking him if he got me something yet, or has anything planned. Of course I don't want to know any of it though, since I love surprises! We all know this. So he asked me what kind of birthday I wanted this year and I said something low key maybe with a few friends at most, nothing huge. I'm so distracted right now that I forgot all week so many times it was my birthday and it wasn't really at the top of my list. So that's what I wanted and it was exactly perfect.

Dustin let me sleep in till 9, amazing in itself. Then he made me my favorite breakfast, waffles with whip cream and strawberries, with a vanilla bean starbucks left over from the night before as my drink. It was awesome. Then we spent the day with the girls and had to do some running around and get prepared for the cold weather that I know will come out of the blue sooner than later. If your not prepared early enough up here, it snows and everything is off the shelves and your outta luck. So Kyla needed a winter coat, and they all needed boots and gloves. So it was kind of priority to have this ready, especially with Kyla in school they go outside a lot and her fall coat no longer zips up, so that's useless until I get a new zipper in it. Anyways, so we came back home and the girls gave me cards they made and lots of hugs, and we got ready for Dust to take me out to dinner with just us. I haven't been out for a while so it felt nice even though I was exhausted from running around. He surprised me with some of our friends at the restaraunt and we had so much fun. Then we went back to Kimball and Becky's house and my smart husband had an angel food cake (my favorite), made by Jill, there for me! He did great. I didn't want to plan anything, or know anything. I just said he can plan it, big or small, and i'll be happy. I'm glad he had some friends there, because we had a ton of fun. It was a perfect day and I got everything I wanted.

Dustin does have a gift for me picked out, but it's on hold until he goes back to work. We are in his last week of school! He is writing his finals all week, so we are looking forward to normal paychecks again. I told him not to get me anything because there are other priorities (like winter stuff for the kids) that needed to be bought and i'm totally fine with that. I don't need gifts to make me happy, I have my beautiful family and that's good enough!

ha ok whatever, gifts are awesome and who doesn't love being spoiled. I do! but I can wait I guess. It better be good. Just kidding. Kind of.

I didn't get any pictures with our friends, we totally forgot, so this is all we took for the day.

Gettin cards from the girls

My new favorite picture of me and Jayci

And one with Pres, love her.

Hugs for my girls

I had no boyfriends, sorry dust.

ps: my hair is faded and red, not what it's gonna be. I'm doing it again this week darker. It's a process going from blonde to brown. Again. Meh, it works.

Ready or not

Remember when I was going to potty train the twins like forever ago? Well that got put on hold, since I got pregnant and sick and didn't have the motivation to do it. Well looks like Jayci is ready whether I am or not!

She as already gone in the potty 5 times without me even telling her! Two mornings in a row the girls were up watchin cartoons eating cereal, and I take my time getting out of bed in the mornings lately, so I eventually came down and there was two naked little girls and one potty with pee in it. This happened 2 days in a row! I thought it was fluke the first time and even the second I wasn't sure if I was ready. But today, she didn't go all morning in her diaper, and then I threw them in the bath and they both told me they peed in the bath. Awesome. So after their nap I heard Jayci upstairs coming out of her room saying "I pee, I pee." but she was crying, so I went up and she was naked. So I thought she peed in her bed. Nope no pee in the bed. So we came down and I asked her if she needed to go on the potty, she said "yes" so she sat down and went! For real?! Will it really be this easy? So about an hour or so later I gave them juice boxes and she was walking around naked. (It's just easier) and she goes, "I pee" so I said, "oh good girl you need to go? K sit on the potty!" She pointed to the potty again, "I pee" So I look in and she already went, ALL BY HERSELF! That's 3 times today! So I guess we ARE doing this. Good thing my sickness had subsided and I can actually do this with them. DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH MONEY WE WILL SAVE?!?! Even just with ONE!

I read online with twins, sometimes one will train before the other one and to just give all the dedication to that one, so you don't loose them, then pretty soon the other one will follow. So that's what i'm gonna do, but Presley still sits on it here and there, but no pee so far.

I do give Jayc a candy and I am all about it, she loves that she gets a reward for doing it. I don't know if me screaming yahoo's in her face and jumping around is good enough, she needs the candy. So here's hoping.

My friend lent me an Elmo potty movie for them, so I stuck it in today for them.

I was dreading doing this, but maybe it won't be too bad after all! Wish me luck!

Edit to add: Presley has now gone 3 times! Also Jayci went #2!!!! This is A HUGE DEAL!!!!

CELEBRATION TIME!!!!!!!

Thanks day

We were asked on Sunday to go around the room in relief society and say one thing we are thankful for. I was trying to think of something other than the typical family answer. These last few months have made me realize something that I have thankful for though. I am grateful that I can have children. This pregnancy wasn't planned, and took a while for me to get excited but eventually it hit me, that some people can't even have children or have such a hard time getting pregnant and I should be so grateful I can have them. So I am so, so thankful for that.

I am definitely also thankful for my family. My husband, and girls. They are amazing.

(I love how Jayci and Presley are looking at each other in this picture)

I am also grateful for my extended family. When you get older they mean everything. I'm grateful for the relationship I have with sisters and sister in laws. I can't wait to grow up and have a big family of kids, and eventually grand kids.

I'm grateful that my husband can have a good job.

We live in a warm house.

The gospel.

and so much more. These are the main things. But lately, i'm so grateful for this guy. He has saved me lately.

that's all :)

12 weeks

One trimester down, two to go!

By the way if you don't like pregnancy posts, too bad, there will be lots.

So, last week was kind of stressful. I had a doctors appointment and he couldn't find the heartbeat, which I know is normal, so I wasn't too worried about that because it was still early. The last 3-4 weeks though, anytime I do anything physical, like the laundry or go up the stairs, I start cramping. Almost like small braxton hicks, right where the uterus is. I've had no spotting so that's good, because he thought I maybe could miscarry. It doesn't hurt, it's just uncomfortable, and coming from someone who went into labour A LOT with the twins, I know what they feel like. So that worried the doctor and he automatically wanted to refer me to an OBGYN, and get more blood tests to see if my levels were increasing. He also said it's likely i'll have complications this pregnancy because of the pregnancy with the twins. I don't know why but I left that appointment a complete wreck. I bawled all day, and the day after that. Knowing that there could be complications, or what if I end up on bedrest, or that he was worried himself, got me upset. Normally I am not one to stress until I have too, such as this I normally wouldn't, but man I was a mess. After the two days of emotions, I was fine and wasn't as stressed. He wanted to see me a week later to check for the heartbeat again and tell me my blood results.

Which brings me to today. First of all, we heard the heartbeat! It was awesome. So far this pregnancy has felt surreal and that just confirmed I have another child on it's way. I probably could have cried if Dustin wasn't starring at me, waiting for the tears to come! He thinks it's hilarious that I cry at EVERYTHING. rude right? I asked Dustin after if it was exciting hearing his little girls heartbeat? haha.

So they are still referring me to an OBGYN because they want to make sure it's not going to be high risk, and are still concerned about the cramping or whatever it is. I have an appointment Nov 3rd with the OB. Not too far eh? Whatever, that's like a month! Does anyone know any Obstetrician's who want to work up here? Because we have two, TWO doctors, who do prenatal care and deliver. That's it. And a million pregnant ladies!! So we'll wait a month and until then, i'll just take it easy just incase.

So I don't have a belly pic, I will take one this weekend or tomorrow. Yes I do have a belly, and no it's not cute. It actually shrunk this week. I think the sexy bloating finally went down and now it's actually a little baby bump. Honestly these last 2 months FLEW by. This is a good thing!

The sickness has also gone down and i'm doing pretty good other than the above issues. So that's the update on the pregnancy. At first I was going to play it low key and not update on here a lot, but I love reading pregnancy updates, and I love to read back from my pregnancy with the twins on here. So I want to have the same this time. So you better get used to it!

I do have one picture for you though! Kyla got her school pictures back today and I was so nervous. They make you preorder your package before even seeing the pictures, so I didn't want to have to send it back and do retakes.

Well I am in LOVE with it. She looks beautiful! Yay!

That's all. :)
